The second educational module “Characteristics of the Scarlett Macaw” will be presented on April 11 to the 31 participating schools (taught to 2500 children).
The kids who have wholeheartedly embraced the project anxiously await a visit from a live Scarlett Macaw. All schools are scheduled for a visit by a macaw with a guide from Macaw Mountain Bird Sanctuary.
Locations for signage were selected at the archeological Park and building materials have been received for the feeding facility. Construction begins next week (April 11) on the structure which will be apx 16 feet wide by 14 feet deep and 14 feet in height. The project will be highlighted on April 9 in the national newspapers.
