Cristiana Senni

Cristiana Senni was born and grew up in Rome, Italy where she graduated from Art school.

She then spent 8 years in New York, after which she moved back to reside in Italy.

Cristiana always loved animals, and started keeping parrots about 15 years ago. She now shares her life with four male Amazons, and a female African Grey parrot.

She joined the Trust in 1997, when she started assisting with the translations of the PsittaScene articles. She gradually became more involved in the efforts of the Trust, and eventually became the representative of the WPT in Italy. In 2000, Cristiana moved into the role of Trustee.

In more recent years, the majority of her work has dealt with researching the issues related to the wild-caught trade, along with representing the Trust at meetings with the EU Commission, DEFRA, and CITES.
