Pet Suitability:
Social, clownish, comical, very precocious and fearless. Quite vocal and high energy; some ability to talk.

Captive Status:
Imported from Guyana in small numbers; breeding slowly increasing.

Longevity:
25-40 yrs

Housing:
Aviary or suspended enclosure, minimum length 2 m (6.5 ft).

Enrichment:
Foot toys, bird safe chewable branches, sterilized pine cones, hanging toys, ladders, vegetable tanned leather knotted toys, puzzle toys, overhead misters or shallow water bowls for bathing.

Nest Box Size:
Vertical box 12" x 12" x 18" (30.5cm x 30.5cm x 46cm).

Clutch Size:
2 to 4

Incubation Time:
Around 25 days

Fledging Age:
10 weeks

Hatch Weight:
8g (0.3 oz)

Peak Weight:
145-165g (5.1-5.8 oz)

Weaning Weight:
145-155g (5.1-5.4 oz)
