Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Intelligent, inquistive though sometimes shy. Active by nature, may become overweight if closely confined. Mature birds may become bonded to one person exclusively, and may aggressively defend that person from all others.

Captive Status:
Fairly common.

30-45yrs

Housing:
Aviary or suspended enclosure, minimum length 2-3m (6.5-9.8 ft).

Enrichment:
Are avid chewers so provide bird-safe, unsprayed flowering, fir, pine, willow or elder branches, wooden block or vegetable tanned leather toys, puzzle/foraging toys, ladders, swings and ropes. Also provide overhead misters or shallow water bowls for bathing.

Vertical box 10" x 10" x 24" (25.4cm x 25.4cm x 61cm)
