Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability: Fun-loving, loves to mimic, needs lots to do, but not generally demanding.
Captive Status: 3 of subspecies common in aviculture:
E.r roratus, E.r. vosmaeri, E.r. polychloros; other races rare.
Longevity: 50+ years
Housing: Aviary or suspended cage, minimum length 3m (9.8 ft).
Enrichment: Destructive toys, branches, puzzle toys, bathing, peek-a-boo games, swings, ropes.
Nest Box Size: 30cm (11.7") square and 1.2m (4 ft) high, or 12"x 12"x 24" (30.5cm x 30.5cm x 61cm) vertical box.

Incubation Time: 28-30 days
Fledging Age: 11 weeks
Hatch Weight: 16g (0.6 oz)
Peak Weight: 355-500g (12.4-17.5 oz)
