Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Social and quiet. Birds a bit nervous until acclimatized to new keeper. May be housed in large aviary with other parrots; if aviary smaller situation might be problematic.

Aviary or suspended cage, minimum length 2m (6.5 ft).

Enrichment:
Occasional bathers. Provide bird-safe chew materials (unsprayed branches, pine cones, fir and elder stems). Also wooden and vegetable tanned leather toys.

Provide several nest boxes. Diameter 6-7" (15.2-17.8cm).
