Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Initially a shy and nervous bird; soon becomes acclimatized to keeper. Pairing with a mate should be done when both birds are young, as adults often will not live harmoniously. Aggressive to other parrots.

More common in Europe and Australia; less so in UK or US.

Enrichment:
Vigorous chewer so include bird-safe, unsprayed flowering, fir, pine,elder and willow branches in flight; vegetable tanned leather chew toys, wooden chew toys, heat sterilized pine cones.

Vertical box 8" x 8" x 24" (20.3cm x 20.3cm x 61cm).
