Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:More social with other members of its genus (Fig Parrots) than with people. Easily startled. Prefers large aviary with groups of its own kind. Fairly quiet parrot.

Walk-in enclosure, minimum length 2.1m (7 ft). Planted if possible.
Enrichment:
Provide planted aviary. Also provide lots of bird-safe branches and browse for the parrots to chew on. Bathing areas are enjoyed.

Nest log 4" (10.1cm) wide x 10" (25.4cm) high.
