Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Active parrot; needs extra space due to tendency to become lethargic in small cage. Medium noise level. Changes to diet must occur slowly. Has tendency to internal parasites due to propensity for ground dwelling.

Walk-in aviary, minimum length 4.5m (14.7 ft).

Enrichment:
Not a vigorous chewer; provide ladders, swings, ropes and puzzle/foraging toys. Provide overhead misters or shallow water bowls for bathing.
