Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Recommended as colony bird, passive in behaviour, quiet; prefers planted aviary. Prone to obesity.

Captive Status:
Somewhat common in Australia, not so elsewhere.

About 12 yrs.

Housing:
Walk-in aviary, minimum length 3m (9.8 ft). Prefers plants.

Enrichment:
Planted aviary with many bird safe wood and leaf types, planted seeding grasses where possible, areas for bathing.
