Care in Captivity
Pet Suitability:
Active, not too noisy unless startled or animated. New birds shy and nervous at first, and may remain so. Will mix with other Pyrrhura sp in aviary setting.

Housing:
Aviary or suspended enclosure, minimum length 2m (6.5 ft).

Enrichment:
Enjoys bathing, socializing with other conure species, chewing bird-safe wood, wood toys and branches, swings, puzzles toys, foraging toys, ladders, swings and different sized perches.

Nest Box Size:
Vertical box 8" x 8" x 28" (20.3cm x 20.3cm x 71.1cm) or nest log.
