Did You Know?
The Guaiabero gets its name from its fondness for guavas. 'Guaiabero' also may come from 'guayabera', a long-sleeved linen shirt which gets its name from a Cuban legend that tells of a poor countryside seamstress who sewed large pockets into her husband's shirts for carrying guavas back from the field, thus creating the guayabera style.
