The Moluccan Cockatoo has been trapped in the wild for the bird trade; poachers have captured them in fishing line snares laid out along the routes to their communal roosting places or by using tame decoys to lure them.

Colourization Adult: Both adults large, soft peach coloured cockatoo with bright, dark peach crest; soft yellow suffusion underwings and undertail. Eye black, area around eye white. Eye black in male and dark brown in female.

Colourization Juvenile: As in adult.

Call: Shrill screech with quavering notes; are vocal most of all in evening.
