World Population:
7000-10,000

Range:
A.f. finschi: CW and SW Mexico; feral populations reported in various areas in US.
A.f. woodi: NW Mexico.


Habitat:
Found in wooded hills and mountains, from tropical zone in lower areas to woods in the uplands. From 600-2000m (1968-6560 ft).

Threat Summary:
Large scale habitat loss, trapping for wild bird trade.

IUCN Rating:
Vulnerable

Wild Diet:
Feeding not well documented but figs reported taken and feeding in cultivated areas causes damage to banana and maize crops.

Appendix I

Ecology:
Found in pairs or small flocks but larger groups form in dry season, 300-1000 reported.

Clutch and Egg Size:
3, rounded eggs, 37.0 x 29.0mm (1.4 x 1.1 in).

March
