Status in the Wild
World Population: Less than 10,000
Range: Mountanous Luzon, N Philippine Islands.
Habitat: Found in humid montane forest from 850-2900m (2788-9512 ft).
Threat Summary: Trapping for wild bird trade, habitat loss and hunting.
IUCN Rating: Near-threatened
Wild Diet: Eats seeds, fruit, berries and nuts; have been reported in cultivated areas.
CITES Rating: Appendix II
Ecology: Seen singly or in pairs, sometimes in groups; noisy and conspicuous in flight; difficult to find while feeding.

Breeding Season: August-September
