WILD PARROTS UP CLOSE would like to offer all World Parrot Trust members a chance to join a trip to COSTA RICA 2013 – 15th to 30th January with optional extension to Caribbean coast 29th January to 2nd February
Following our very successful trip to Costa Rica in February/March 2012 where we saw 13 out of the 16 species of parrots and over 300 species of birds I am organising another trip for 2013 with a slightly different itinerary
Visiting Carara Biological Reserve on the pacific coast where there is a population of Scarlet Macaws, Laguna del Lagarta Lodge in the northern birding area the best area in the world to see Great Green Macaws (Buffons), and the Palo Verde National Park for the roost site of Mealy, White fronted and Yellow naped Amazons as well as calling in at the Ara Project breeding center for Scarlet and Great Green Macaws.
With many more species of parrots, birds and other wildlife.
We will have the use of an air-conditioned coach with our own driver throughout this trip so that we can stop off wherever we want en-route to the various destinations within Costa Rica. We have a cool box on-board for keeping all the drinks etc. cool so that they are available at all times while we are travelling around the country.
Also we will have Hector a Naturalist Guide travelling with us to enable us to use his knowledge to find the Parrots and identify the other birds and wildlife on our travels to get the most out of the whole trip.
The itinerary can be found at this link as an e-magazine style document
