Drayton Manor is a family theme park with a mixture of scenic and white knuckle rides. It covers 280 acres of land, and is visited by over one million people annually. Drayton Manor was opened to the public in 1949 and has since grown substantially in size. It is the UK’s leading family run theme park and the fourth most popular theme park in Britain in terms of visitor numbers.
Drayton Manor Zoo has been donating to and supporting the World Parrot Trust since 2002. They have a donation box dedicated to the Trust in the middle of their Parrot Walk. The Parrot Walk first opened in the year 2000 and since then it has proven very popular with visitors who have shown great generosity in supporting their fund raising efforts. In 2005 they raised a total of £4,758.78 ($9,185 USD).
