The FlyAbout is an introduction to what is involved with creating a reliable and safe outdoor, as well as indoor, flying companion parrot. Expert avian trainers will discuss positive reinforcement training methods designed to achieve successful and safe flying for your parrot. Demonstrations of free flying parrots will

Parrots 2008 International Convention

Brisbane, Queensland, AUSTRALIA - 5th & 6th July 2008

Parrots 2008 is the 5th biennial convention hosted by the Parrot Society of Australia inc. It is the largest parrot event in the Southern Hemisphere for 2008 and promises to ‘raise the perch in avicultural education’. A comprehensive program of lectures and workshops will engage every delegate with the latest information, techniques and management practices from seventeen international and Australian speakers.

Children aged 9 - 16yrs are encouraged to participate in the first ever ‘Fledglings’ hands-on workshop to foster the younger generation’s interest in all aspects of psittaculture.

Whether you are a breeder, companion parrot owner, conservationist, zoo keeper, animal trainer or behaviourist this is the premier avicultural convention to attend this year.

Why not extend your stay in sunny Queensland to take advantage of Australia’s sunny winter months and many wild parrot watching opportunities?
