This beautiful bird needs protection and your help to secure its home, and its future.
Endangered in South Africa, the Cape Parrot population has drastically
dwindled to less than 1,500 birds remaining in the wild. This beautiful bird
needs your help before it is too late.
The Cape Parrot Project has recently been launched to develop a comprehensive research and conservation strategy to
save these birds from two major threats: capture for the wild-caught bird trade, and disease.

In addition to the project launch, I am excited to announce that Richard and Jean Horvitz at
Golden Cockatoo, along with Julie Drier have promised to match each
donation we receive -- up to a total of $2,500!
This means that if we can raise $2,500 by November 30th, these generous
supporters will match it; raising over $5,000 to help secure a future for this
species!
They will match your gifts dollar-for-dollar, so your contribution of just $15
becomes $30, $25 becomes $50, and so on.
There has never been a better time to make a difference. Please, help us today with your donation.
Sincerely,

Steve Boyes
Cape Parrot Project Coordinator
