Rob Heinsohn
Rob Heinsohn, PhDScientific AdvisorProfessor Rob Heinsohn is a conservation biologist at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University. His earlier research projects included cooperatively breeding birds and the social fabric of lions. For the last 15 years he has been conducting field research on Eclectus parrots and Palm cockatoos in northern Australia, and Swift parrots in Tasmania. These species all present major challenges, but Rob and his students have developed a rich understanding of their bizarre behaviour, striking colours, and conservation needs (see http://people.anu.edu.au/robert.heinsohn/).
