Colour Adult:

Adult mostly brown in colour; orange cheeks and neck; pale yellow breast; orange abdomen and undertail coverts; tail brown. Bill pale brown. Eye brown.

As in adults, but breast olive/brown.

Described as 'hoarse' and 'quacking.'

Formerly Norfolk Island and nearby Philip and Nepean Islands, Tasman Sea.

Probably insects and their larvae; also blossoms of Lagunaria patersonia reported.

These parrots were said to have lived both on the ground and in tall trees, feeding on flowering shrubs and trees.
