Denice Ann (Deedee) Mader, BA(Psy)Membership and Annual Gifts ManagerDeedee has spent most of her career working as an advocate of some type for disadvantaged populations needing assistance with stability. She began this path after earning a BA in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin; Whitewater and then going on to Graduate coursework at the University of Wisconsin; Milwaukee.Her work history includes a blend of nonprofit and for profit work. She has experience working directly with programs as well as behind the scenes on membership, development and fundraising tasks. This has included work for persons with disabilities, aging populations, students, fellows and now wildlife. Deedee grew up drawn to nature and wildlife and has been blessed to have career opportunities that included both at times. In one role she was involved with a therapeutic horseback riding program and volunteer work with onsite llamas and potbellied pigs. While in another she was able to collaborate on events with Botanical gardens, Nature Preserves and Humane Societies. She has always craved wild spaces in which to work, play and take respite. Deedee joined the World Parrot Trust in 2022 and her work focus is office administration, membership oversight, donor data management and fundraising assistance. She is energized to be a part of an organization that makes a difference by combatting extinction and creating survival success stories.
