Charles Munn

Charles Munn III, PhD

Charles Munn was a Conservation Zoologist with the Wildlife Conservation Society, New York, from 1986 until 2000. During this time he became renowned worldwide for his work with macaws in the Peruvian Amazon. He has helped to create parks that have protected 12 million acres of rainforest, cloud forest, Andean grasslands and lowland savannahs in SE Peru and adjacent Bolivia.

Roger Wilkinson

Former Head of Conservation and Science and at Chester Zoo, Roger Wilkinson was Curator of Birds there between 1983 and 1999 and until recently General Curator Higher Vertebrates and Research. Later he oversaw Chester Zoo's increasing commitment to Conservation and Research programmes, developing overseas conservation links and managing budget-supporting conservation and research programmes linked to the zoo.

Rob Heinsohn

Professor Rob Heinsohn is a conservation biologist at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University. His earlier research projects included cooperatively breeding birds and the social fabric of lions. For the last 15 years he has been conducting field research on Eclectus parrots and Palm cockatoos in northern Australia, and Swift parrots in Tasmania.

Evet Loewen is an attorney who practised municipal law for 30 years with the City of San Jose, California.  Her experience there included a wide range of legal issues, including environmental law.  In 2005 Evet became a lifetime member of the World Parrot Trust, and in 2011 she became a volunteer legal advisor for the Trust.
